SHMS International Day Highlights Global Community

March 24, 2026---For the second year in a row, Sacred Heart Model School's gym transformed into a global showcase, led by the Jean Frazier Leadership Institute and infused with the creativity, teamwork, and collaboration reflected through SHMS's International Baccalaureate education and Ursuline Core Values. Parent volunteers represented more than twenty-five countries by showcasing extensive displays, complete with interactive crafts, tasty delicacies, and authentic costumes at International Day. As students from junior kindergarten through Level 8 entered the gym, they received passports which were stamped by parents at each country's booth.

Thank you to the SHMS International Day planning committee and the many parent presenters and friends who went above and beyond to create interactive exhibitions, prepare traditional food, and share dance and music to create an engaging, authentic experience for students at International Day. The SHMS community has full passports and full hearts as we reflect on this fantastic day of cultural immersion and the education of globally-minded, compassionate leaders.
