Kindergarten Information Night
Join us Tuesday, October 16 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. for Kindergarten Information Night to learn more about the admissions process, kindergarten screening and the Sacred Heart Model School Kindergarten Program. Meet teachers, counselors and SHMS Principal, Dr. Michael Bratcher. There will also be an opportunity to connect with current parents and students. By appointment only, beginning in January. Your prospective kindergarten student for fall 2019 must have an application submitted prior to the arranged screening date. SHMS tests a limited number of prospective students, so families considering enrollment are encouraged to complete an application and arrange testing at their earliest convenience. Spots fill quickly! Contracts for newly-accepted students are issued beginning in mid-February.
All prospective students take part in readiness testing. A copy of the child's birth certificate is due on the day of testing. Kindergarten applicants must be 5-years-old by August 1 of the year of admission.
Level One Screening
Your prospective Level One student for fall 2019 must have an application submitted prior to the screening date.
Level 5-8 Shadow Visit and Interview
Your prospective Level 5-8 student must complete a shadow visit and take a placement test in world language, language arts and math to be eligible for admission.
