Parent Involvement
Sacred Heart Model School is home to an active and engaged parent community that serves to support the mission, vision and core values that shape our students as they grow from learners to globally minded, compassionate leaders.
The Model Parents Association (MPA) plays a vital role in supporting the faculty and staff, showing great appreciation for those who nurture their children on a daily basis. There are many ways for SHMS parents to be involved: Field Day, Catholic Schools Week, Book Fair, Friday Folders, Halloween and Valentine parties, just to name a few.
The MPA also sponsors numerous school events throughout the year, from an all-school Welcome Back Ice Cream Social to the well-attended Daddy/Daughter Dance and Mother/Son event. And, of course, the infamous Thanksgiving week lunches!
The Association holds regularly scheduled meetings for the parent community. Attendance at the meetings helps grow community, educates parents on various topics and earns students an out-of-uniform pass.

Sacred Heart Schools uses the REACH Alert system to reach all families regarding weather and other school-related events requiring rapid communication. Sacred Heart will send a “TEST” Reach Alert message at 3:00 PM today. If you do not receive the test message, please follow the instructions below to create or link your account. Each household can register as many phone numbers and email addresses as necessary.
- Go to www.reachalert.com and click Signup (upper right corner).
- When prompted for the network you wish to join, type Sacred Heart; click on your specific school name when it appears in the dropdown list.
- Follow the prompts and enter your preferred contact information.
- IF YOU WERE REGISTERED FOR REACH Alert for a previous or different school, GO TO WWW.REACHALERT.COM AND CLICK ON LOGIN. Use the phone number and password associated with your account. Once in your old account, click JOIN NETWORK on your dashboard page's right side and type in Sacred Heart. Select the school you wish to join.
