Athletics

 

Teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship are at the heart of our athletics program. The planning and implementation of all athletic endeavors involve consideration of each student athlete’s physical, spiritual, and emotional growth.

 

Students from Kindergarten through Level 8 have many opportunities to participate in competitive athletics throughout the year. Led by SHMS’ Athletic Director, Sacred Heart Model School fields more than two dozen teams in 14 sports. Our athletes have access to beautiful on-campus athletics facilities, including practice and game fields, a five-court tennis complex, regulation track, softball field, and a gymnasium that boasts a climbing wall, wooden flooring, locker rooms, spectator seating, and concessions. Because of the size and quality of our facilities, SHMS often hosts league competitions. SHMS competes in the Catholic Schools Athletic Association (CSAA), the official athletic organization of Louisville area Catholic elementary and middle schools. Go Bears!
